Artist and photographer, Tonia Finger, creates timeless images of serenity and beauty. Her images are still, meditative reflections on the world around us, a contemplation of those things that often go unnoticed in our fast paced lives. Working in the tradition of the old masters, Tonia uses glazing and dry brush techniques to add dimension to her painting. She strives to create not only a beautiful image, but a skillful and careful manipulation of the medium, bringing to light the translucent beauty of oils. Tonia studied art at Texas Tech University and has been working part time as an artist for the past 16 years, working mostly on a commission basis. She has only recently more fully devoted her time to the creation of art. She looks forward to expanding her portfolio and to an exciting career as an artist.
