Crystal Day Music
Crystal Day was born in a small town in Virginia. She started her first band at the age of 12 and entered a studio in Nashville, Tennessee and started recording songs for her first CD “Anything Can Happen.”
She began performing throughout the East Coast at various events throughout her teenage years, including the N.C. State and VA Fairs, NASCAR Speedways: Loews, Martinsville, and South Boston Motor Speedway. She ventured out to Los Angeles to perform with top performers from around the world at Universal Studios for the World Championships of Performing Arts. Crystal then traveled to Europe as the youngest performer in the “Amsterdam Music Festival” and was invited back and toured for the next 3 years. “It completely changed my life, in the best way possible. My eyes were open to a world much bigger than I imagined.”
She moved to Los Angeles after high school and began performing at various venues around L.A., including the Viper Room, the Derby, and numerous others.
She began recording and writing music alongside Grammy Winner Tom Weir at Studio City Sound, where she met Jorge Costa.
“I call Jorge my music soul mate. When we met, there was this instant understanding. We immediately knew we had a special connection and wanted to start working together as soon as possible.”
They began writing, arranging, and recording demos together. They tried various directions, but nothing quite clicked. Still writing, she ventured on, working harder “I than ever to find her “sound.”
“I think each person has a true sound, and when you find that, it’s like magic.”
Exciting news came, when they found an investor to provide the funds for the album. Spending the next few months in the studio, the album is scheduled to be done for the end of the year. “Just wait and see what I have brewing.”
