Erev Rav is a live performance band drawing from a rich klezmer repertoire and playing original compositions. Our instrumentation consists of Violin, Clarinet, Flute, Mandolin, Chromatic Harmonica, 12 string acoustic guitar, upright bass and drums. We are available for all types of events, and have experience playing at weddings, outdoor festivals, private events, clubs, restaurants, synagogues, the World Sacred Music Festival in Olympia WA, the Northwest Folklife Festival in Seattle; we consistently enliven audiences and often create dance parties where people were otherwise sitting around!

Where do you turn when you need to cover your nakedness? To penguins of course! Years ago while roaming the icy south and swimming through the crystal clear waters of the Antarctic a handful of rogue penguins decided to wander north and explore the world. In our extensive travels we discovered the thing that people truly want, stuff! It doesn’t really matter what it is, if its out there, people want it. (Especially if its on the internet!) Since we really are benevolent penguins and since we are much more skilled than the average stuff maker, we’re here to bring you STUFF lots of wonderful internet worthy STUFF. Most of our stuff is indeed very special and hand made with lots of fancy tools. Our exact processes are our trade secret but you can be sure that when its made by a penguin it doesn’t smell fishy. Since moving to Portland, OR in 2007 we’re 1/6 Vegan ( approximately 1/6 of our intake is not an animal product), we trade fairly (with other animals), we’re 100% biodegradable (one day we’ll die and become recycled), and we’re even carbon based lifeforms aka 100% Organic! Honestly we thought about starting a non-profit but then we figured we’d rather just be straight with people, a penguin’s gotta eat and the dolla gave a mighty nice holla!
