The Manufacturing Extension Partnership of Louisiana ( MEPOL ) provides Louisiana's manufacturing companies with a wide array of fundamental services, helping them to become more efficient, resilient, and strong in an increasingly competitive global market. MEPOL addresses profitability by improving productivity and increasing sales. Productivity is addressed primarily by using Lean principles, also referred to as lean manufacturing. Sales increases are addressed through assistance with marketing and innovation through the development of new products and services. With Louisiana's only trained Innovation Black Belt personnel, MEPOL is also the only source for Eureka! Ranch services for small companies in Louisiana. THese services guide the creation of new innovative ideas for new products, new services, and new markets, as well as the communication and commercialization of those innovative ideas.
