The process of learning to paint and draw is enhanced by regular contact with other artists in the Barrie area at the MacLaren Art Centre. Traditional life drawing techniques are explored and extended through the use of pastels and charcoal media. Realistic images are explored through shade, shape and tone in pastel and charcoal life drawings. Painting and drawing enhance the artist's ability to observe carefully and be able to interpret the visual world around us.
