Luke Doonan is a property developer with a difference. At 37 he runs his own property Investment Company and has been buying and selling property throughout London for 18 years. He has an amazing energy for anything to do with property and works very hard building and maintaining his property portfolio. He also advises companies and investors on where and what to buy… Luke bought his first property in Highgate north London at the age of 19 for £37k, the property was a studio flat on the tenth floor of a sixties block with amazing views all over London, The flat had no heating or hot water and needed complete refurbishment, He completely refurbished the flat, doing all the work himself and later sold it for £155k, this was the start of his property career! He moved to Bow in the East End of London and bought a one bed flat in the Bryant and May famous match stick factory, again he completely refurbished the property, This time instead of selling when the project was completed, he kept the flat to let out and then started buying his neighbours’ properties as they came up for sale! Luke worked at the high-end property company Savills for nearly ten years running and selling most of the high-end developments in and around Canary Wharf and Shad Thames. During this time he kept buying in Bow and surrounding areas as the prices were still very low compared to Docklands, he soon built up a healthy property portfolio and now has over 30 apartments within his development company. He has a true passion for every aspect of property and has been involved in many freehold buyouts and RTM (Rght To Manage) schemes. He sits on the board of directors at several developments where he owns property. As the UK property market changes and we are faced with a property stagnation or even downturn he knows that many people will be affected and will need advice on buying, selling, renting, developing, mortgages and avoiding dodgy developers and cowboy builders!!! Luke gives straightforward honest advice to anyone who does not know which way to turn or what to do with their current property situation.
