Tommy Shannon Official Website. Tommy Shannon was the bass player with Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, along with Chris Layton and Reese Wynans. Tommy Shannon also played bass guitar with Johnny Winter and Uncle John (Red) Turner in the late 60's and early 70's. Tommy Shannon also played bass guitar in the Arc Angels, that also featured Chris Layton, Doyle Bramhall II and Charlie Sexton.
