Welcome to Vissi d’ Arte. One of the last remaining businesses in Greece, where you can still find good, robust, handmade shoes as well as bags and accessories.
Working with leather, such a live material is a constant inspiration to create new artifacts that will accompany your garments in the most flattering way.
Vissi d’ Arte was founded in Kalamata by Maria Katsira in 1999 and although the pan-Hellenic product demand has from time to time dictated that the company relocates to a larger city, Maria has persistently stayed in Kalamata, her beautiful hometown.
Maria Katsira studied design and manufacture of handmade shoes and other leather artifacts in S. Elpidio a Mare – Italy between 1990 and 1993. After working, as a designer, for a shoe making factory for a few years and acquiring the necessary experience, she returned to Kalamata.
