About Us
Chris and Mel are both health care professionals that call Raleigh, NC "home." Home is a relative term because when we're not working, we usually are traveling. Since 2007, we have put over 75,000 miles on our cars traveling around the United States and enjoying the great outdoors. We enjoy wildlife observation, hiking, backpacking, winter sports (snow skiing, snowshoeing), and paddling. On rare occasions, we will splurge and spend a night or two in a luxury hotel and have a night on the town.

Since 2009 : Canon T1i, 17-40 f4 L, 100-400 f3.5-5.6 L, 18-55 f3.5-5.6, 50 f1.8
We have rented the following: 16-35 f2.8 L, 70-200 f2.8 L IS, EF-S 17-55 f2.8
This site also serves as a host for photos that we contribute to blogs and external groups. If you live in central North Carolina, you are welcome to join us on some of our adventures. We volunteer our time with the Triangle Hiking and Outdoors Group, and take members on some of our journeys!
