Our website, TheFrugalitarian, promotes a lifestyle which is a mix of frugality and environmental consciousness in homemaking, home care, style, cooking, housekeeping, decorating, gardening, entertaining, crafts, healthy living, and lifestyles emphasizing conservation of resources and simplicity. Being frugal is not the same as being cheap. It’s using our resources wisely. Frugal living IS saving the planet and living green. Reduce, reuse and recycle can mean getting everything you want and never feeling deprived. We call it being Elegantly Resourceful. From fashion to renewable energy, it's a movement that leads to regaining the art of living. Wasteful consumerism is at the heart of our financial and environmental crisis. Finding viable and sustainable solutions while adding beauty to our lives is central to our waste not want not philosophy. Our mission is to teach people they can be released from the pressure of living paycheck to paycheck by finding new ways of acquiring things. They can gain confidence and have fun developing creative solutions and new uses for old things that give them a sense of style. Additionally, they can reduce their carbon footprint by reducing waste and learning about eco-friendly solutions.
