How did I get the Name Cepheus Imaging?
Well I could have went with the following historical concept: The constellation of Cepheus, the King, is one of the oldest constellations and plays an important part in Greek Mythology. Together with Cassiopeia the Queen, Cepheus ruled the northern skies. That sounds pretty cool !
But the real reason I picked the name is this:
When my oldest son was four years old, his Uncle got him one of the coolest gifts ever! A star registered in his name, in the constellation Cepheus. He was so blown away that up there in space was a star named after him. He told and showed everyone. He would look up at the sky, point to the constellation and say there’s my star. It was an awesome gift that he will never forget and it was a gift that will live forever. As my youngest son grew older, I eventually gave him the same gift my oldest son was given, a star registered in his name. Where do you think it is? Exactly in the constellation Cepheus right next to his older brother and buddy.
Well that’s not all. The story continues:
So as time passed my boys and I encountered a few (actually a lot of) rocky roads. As for me, there were several times of having to get up and wipe myself off that I just wanted to quit and throw it all in. If it weren’t for the positive spirit of my two sons I may have done just that. Well, needless to say, we endured and survived them all. My kids showed me how resilient they are. They also showed me how life should be lived and how people should be. It's amazing what can learn when you look at life through the eyes and minds of two little kids. My kids became a very influential and uplifting presence in my life. They inspired me to pursue my dreams and keep pushing on no matter what was standing in my way. They retaught my brain to just dream and believe and pursue those dreams along life’s little journey and you’ll have a better chance of succeeding than if you don’t try at all. It's just amazing what a parent can learn by just observing a child’s imagination and their spirit to let it soar.
So Cepheus imaging is more than just a name to a business. It has meaning! It has purpose! It is a company that’s based on Spirit, Vision, Inspiration and most of all Imagination. The same imagination derived and inspired from 2 little stars (my sons). Stars with spirits that soar and believe me imaginations as vast as the universe. I guess you could say “Imaging” is short for Imagination. And “Cepheus”, well lets just say that’s as far as your imagination can go if you let it.....The Universe!
