Through My Eyes

Welcome to my gallery of photographs and videos entitled “Through My Eyes”. My eyes have been capturing images for many years. I started recognizing the importance of these images when I was two and started formally documenting these sights when I was twelve.
As a young photographer, I found it fascinating and so powerful to be able to capture and share that moment in time with others. Life around us is always in motion. Things change nanosecond to nanosecond. We see the world around us but what we don’t see is that moment of change. I hope you enjoy the moments of time I have captured throughout my life. Some are personal. All represent the world around us. As you leave, be sure to take the time to notice the “moment of change” in the world around you.

Welcome. Photography is my hobby. It's a way for me to slow down and focus on the world around me (pun completely intended). I would very much appreciate your comments on my work. I am always looking for ways to improve both technically and artistically.
I grew up on the East coast (Maryland) and currently live in the mid-West (Indiana). I started taking photographs when I was around 10 years old. My first "real" camera was a Kodak Brownie. I bought my first SLR, a Canon FTb (the one used for my profile picture), when I was in college. I have been hook on Canon equipment ever since. I currently shoot with a Canon 7D and 50D, supported by a variety of canon lenses, and a G11 primarily used as a travel camera. While self-taught, I have taken the opportunity to participate in several weekend programs put on by RMSP, John Shaw, and our local Roberts store.
I aspire to achieving some competency with bird photography but I enjoy looking through the viewfinder at a wide variety of subjects, especially my family. Again, thanks for visiting and I hope you come back often to see new work as it gets published to the site.

I was inspired and interested in photography since my trip across America back in 1999 and subsequent trips abroad to India, Singapore and Australia. Nature's beauty and trying to capture the essent of the moment such as lighting conditions, etc as it happens became my constant awareness. Being at the right place is half of the battle, but with alittle luck from mother nature as the event unraveled and being ready to capture it would be the other half.
