Hello and Welcome,
My name is Elsie Wong. My love for photography started at a very young age with film cameras, and grew into a life long passion. I am classically trained in documentary photojournalism; a genre of photography considered to be the most artistic in visual story telling. For me it's all about capturing tender scenes and precious moments without disturbing it by the presence of a camera. My career as a photojournalist was short lived due to a work related injury, and I had to change careers. I am a independent sports medicine physiotherapist and athletic trainer, but my passion for photography never wavered over the decades.
A few years ago I enrolled my daughter (avatar pictured) at New England Sports Academy's Rhythmic Gymnastic program for a change of pace from her typical dance programs of tap, jazz, ballet, and acrobatics. Rhythmic gymnastics incorporates choreography elements of dance, ballet, and gymnastics with apparatus manipulations. It is also one of the most photogenic of sports in the Olympics Games in regards to beauty, grace, and form.
Because of my unique backgrounds in sports medicine and photojournalism, it was a natural progression for me to try my hand at sports photography. What a wonderful surprise that it's no different than the documentary work that I've known and love. Thanks to the encouragement of friends and family, I decided to return to freelancing seasonally and offer my services at local competitions within the New England area. The steps that I take in post processing may seem overkill for a sporting memorabilia, but I am first and foremost a photographic artist at heart. I want to give parents cherished works of art to proudly display within their homes.

I am Debbie and I have a passion for taking photos. I love capturing a moment in time and then adding my own personal touch to each photo making sure to create a photo that is unique, just like you. I have been taking photos as a hobby for 25 years; I started out taking still shots and landscape photos. When my kids started participating in various sports they became my inspiration for taking action photos.
