Rick Soto Soto Art
Graduated from California State University, Fresno, with an emphasis in painting and printmaking. Studied with Terry Allen and friends including: Allan Ruppersberg, John Laddie Dill, Duane Valentine, Charles Arnoldi. Additional instructors included Charles Gains.
While doing graduate work at Fresno State, began exploring the blue-print/brownline process. Gained recognition by winning a place in the World Print Competition, an international show organized by CCAC. Participants came from 58 countries and included names such as: Robert Motherwell and Arakawa. A global tour of major museums followed, including SF MOMA. Additional exhibitions included: University of Illinois-Champaign, IL, Crocker Gallery-Sacramento, CA, California Governors Office, Fresno Art Center and a few other galleries that Ive forgotten. Oh well.
Currently working as a creative director and advertising graphic designer whose clients have included: Bank of America, Hewlett-Packard, Cisco, Siemens, Philips, Nortel Networks and more. The agency, Soto Creative in Los Altos, CA, has won close to 100 industry creative awards.
