I am standing upon the seashore.
A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze
and starts for the blue ocean.
She is an object of beauty and strength,
and I stand and watch until at last she hangs
like a speck of white cloud
just where the sea and sky come down to mingle with each other.
Then someone at my side says,
" There she goes! "
Gone where?
Gone from my sight . . . that is all.
She is just as large in mast and hull and spar
as she was when she left my side
and just as able to bear her load of living freight
to the place of destination.
Her diminished size is in me, not in her.
And just at the moment
when someone at my side says,
" There she goes! "
there are other eyes watching her coming . . .
and other voices ready to take up the glad shout . . .
" Here she comes! "

I'm Josh Robinson and Photography has been a passion of mine for the last 12 years and counting! I'm behind a camera in my spare time as much as possible. I love catching that "one moment" that may never come around again! I do all types of photography from weddings to family portraits, candid, engagement, model portfolios. If your not sure just ask, if I can't do it, I probably know someone that can.

My greatest passion aside from my family is photography. I believe that photography can open the minds of one's view of the world. Helps people to see what the world has to offer. Experiencing other cultures, meeting people from other communities. Seeing the beauty, and sometimes not so pleasant things, of the world through photography has helped me understand that all of our lives are very different and has its own meaning and purpose to it. Though we may not all figure out what our purpose is there is one. It has made me better appreciate my own home and culture as well as that of the people I've met and has helped me to become more opened minded to others and their beliefs. Through my photography I seek to document my own personal experiences, to capture scenes and events as I see them and to share with others the beauty and diversity of the world I've seen. I bring out the creative and artistic side of my subjects. As the images of other photographers have inspired me to explore the world, I hope my own contributions will inspire others to do the same.
I view the art of photography as a creative process, a distilling of reality into a personal vision. As such I often use the tools of modern photography, different film stocks, filters, digital enhancement, and video to try to capture in an image the emotions I felt at the moment I tripped the camera's shutter.
I was originally trained from the ground up by learning the history of photography, darkroom. I have been involved in photography since childhood. I experienced a renewed enthusiasm and appreciation for photography after receiving my first camera for my 10th birthday. During high school I began my journey in art and everywhere I went camera always in hand, which resulted in an ever growing library of slides and negatives documenting my thoughts ideas and artistic side. In 2009 My husband and I created M&C Photography. Thus, a serious hobby began to transform into a business.
Today I take pictures of all different walks of life and still life. I do events, personal photo shoots, family portraits, and anything I can point and shoot my camera at. I also specialize in videos, videography, digital editing and imaging.

I am a digital photographer and mixed media artist with the lens of an anthropologist and focus on cultural sustainability. I have most recently been creating images that connect the viewer with Maya women, their textiles and experience. The vibrancy of Maya culture and the resiliency of Maya womens’ beliefs in the face of centuries of oppression are inspiring.
Love of textiles originally brought me to Mexico and Guatemala, and the connections with these women have kept me coming back. Photography and the creation of digital images, capturing texture and bold vibrant color, and exploration of the juxtaposition of color in the setting in which this color often occurs, is endlessly appealing. I enjoy having the flexibility of digital and the ability to manipulate images, but use it minimally.
My work is a reflection of what I have found most exciting to observe and learn about in Central America - Maya women of all ages, their lifelong connection with their weaving process, the textiles they create, their history, culture and world view.
I don't have a problem with free use of my images for non-commercial purposes. Please request permission, and give me proper credit.
