Barry Spruce has been a serious photographer since 1983. He grew up in northern New England and his family descends from the Quebec province of Canada. He now resides in Maryville Tennessee in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. Friends and family have been urging him to take his unique style of photography to a professional level for many years. Finally in August of 2008 he signed a contract with the Knoxville News Sentinel. The following month he released his 2009 calendar. In spring 2009 he had completed his 8x12 color hard copy portfolio and was using it in professional meetings to land his first clients. He has found a clientel where he decorates professional offices exclusively with his photography. Barry is also active in family photography and specializes in candid outdoor photos usually shot at local parks and events. Being an avid outdoors man, his biggest passion is nature and wildlife photography. It is in this field that he is currently organizing his years of work for his first book that he's hoping to release by 2012. Through years of study and fieldwork he understands behavioral patterns of the animal kingdom. Other photographers have referred to him as the birdman because of his ability to acquire outstanding photos of everything from Osprey to Harrier Hawks in flight.

Erica Svenningsen Calnon
I was only 14 years old when I realized that I wanted to be a photographer. It was then that I had the opportunity to work with a gifted and experienced photographer, studying under him with black and white film. I loved the process from start to finish - taking, developing and printing my own photos.
Since my amazing introduction to the world of photography, I have become an accomplished and published photographer who has been fortunate enough to take pictures around the world, from the stoic cathedrals of Italy to the secluded bays of Bermuda. I still get a thrill from capturing moments in time that will never be duplicated again. They say that no two snowflakes are alike - well, the same is true with butterflies, and sunsets and people. Each one is unique in an unforgettable and magical way.
My desire is to capture some of that magic in each photograph I take. I hope that you enjoy looking at my photographs as much as I enjoy taking them. Please check back often for new pictures - I am continually finding new and wonderful things to photograph - and be sure to check out the digitally enhanced section. Over the years I have become increasingly interested in using computers to make my photographs even more vibrant and creative.
