Hello and welcome to OC Photography,
My name is Odis Cheathams and I am located in Erie, PA. which is locate within a two hour drive in either direction to Buffalo NY, Cleveland OH, or Pittsburgh PA . My primary photo playground is Presque Isle State Park in Erie, which is accessible year round and provides me all four season to shoot photography without having to travel too far in inclement weather.
My background in photography started with the visual art where at an early age I recognized that I was blessed with a God given talent to draw. I then progressed into painting first with water colors, acrylics then oils, so it was only natural that I would be draw to photography.
My passion for photography has allowed me to see the true beauty in every landscape, still and portrait. It is my wish that all will see and feel the same.

Welcome to the site that takes you to may exotic places around the world. As a youngster, I was exposed to the delights of travel, as my parents moved from place to place and country to country. I acquired the travel bug, but soon became aware that many people waited until retirement to do their travels, only to find that due to medical problems, the travel they had yearned for, for so many years was now going to elude them.
I decided that this was not going to happen to me, but kept being told that you needed money and time to be able to do the travels I wanted. There had to be another way, and sure enough there was.
This site will take you to different places through word and sight, all done while in full time employment. It's just a matter of planning what you want to do, and ensuring that you have a job that will give you the time and money to fulfill your dreams.
To follow these journeys, click on the relevant gallery below.
Comments are most welcome. Please be patient, as this site is currently a work in progress.

Anastasia Gnau | SmugMug
Hello, I’m Anastasia Gnau.
Photography is a subject that I do well. I pretty much take pictures every day, not just for my 365 project, where I take a photography every day for a year, but to help me focus more on the composition, colors, and shapes and to become better at learn the perspectives as I look through I lens.
I recently was named a Maryland Distinguish Scholar and also won a Gold Key and a National Gold Medal from The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards; and with the Gold Medal Award i will be attending a ceremony at Carnegie Hall in New York at the end of May 2011. Same award won by Andy Warhol and a few others.
I always carry around my digital camera (Canon Rebel XS) around eveywhere I go. But shooting with 35mm film is the greatest. I use a Canon Rebel EOS 35mm.
I love film; being able to take a photo and not knowing what it looks like till you develop it, makes me excited. Usually if the shoot requires me showing the color, of course I’ll take it in digital but sometimes switching it up and using color film is always a challenge because with digital you can edit the photos and enhance the color in photoshop but not with color film.
Planning a shoot, besides school assignment that we get at least every two week, I do independent shoots all the time. I hope to become better and to be able to stretch the limit and learn the true meaning of photography.
For photography, I look at Sally Mann, Bill Brandt, Mary Ellen Mark, Ralph Gibson and Brassai. I’ve mainly fallin’ in love with Annie Leibovitz, not because we have the same name, but because her work makes my heart pound. I’ve also loved looking through her photography book and just being amazed at the way she sees the world. It makes me want to see the world through that perspective. Her photos look like she’s having fun with it, which is what i love to do. I've also fallen in love with Ralph Gibson's work. He photographs many different things; people, street, buildings, etc.. but one thing about his work is that its simple but leaves a big meaning. I'm hoping to become better at what i love to do. I will try and follow in my influences foot steps but also to find my own way.
My school influences me in almost all that I do. With teachers there to guide me and to help me better solve a problem and fellow students being there when I have an idea and need a model. I owe alot to Carver Center. Without that school, I don't think I would have continued with art as I am now and I deffenitly think that I never would have gotten into photography like I have. And thats saying alot.
To Mr.Carroll Cook I owe so much. He is the photo teacher Carver and I am so honored that I had the opportunity to have him as a teacher. He taught me all I know. Hes always there to make sure I knew what was coming up next. And I'll be sad when he retires because the kids won't know what they are missing. He's also the kind of teacher that takes the time to help you one on one with your projects and ideas.
Your the best Cook!
