I have been currently working as a Medical Photographer for the past ten years. My essential duties and responsibilities are Equipment control, multimedia productions, photography and graphics used for member education and physician presentations. WHY PHOTOGRAPHY
Why - my wife frequently asks me - do you spoil a perfectly good day out by carrying all that clutter around with you? I have often asked myself the same question and am not convinced that I have yet come up with an entirely satisfactory answer.
Like many others I have a stressful day job that requires more time effort and energy than I would ideally like to give but eh oh perhaps there's no choice. When those efforts are over though it's good to feel there may be something left to give my artistic side a voice. Photography is that voice for me albeit a whisper.
I have owned a camera since being a teenager and have always had more than a passing interest and certainly more than ability. It was not however until the emergence of digital photography that my real passion grew. There is something exciting about being able take develop and publish a shot without having to explore the terrors of the darkroom.
